  9.          Osiris  SE  is a fast, responsive,  flexible  system    which
  10.          allows  the   owner to design much of his  own  CBIS  without
  11.          having  to write any program code.
  12.  
  13.          Osiris  is  NOT just a BBS program, it is an  INTEGRATED  BBS
  14.          operating SYSTEM. Unlike many other BBS programs, we did  not
  15.          just  STOP with the BBS itself. We have attempted to  provide
  16.          you with everything you could possible need to run a BBS.

  18.          Osiris cost less than any other BBS on the market. There  are
  19.          couple of BBS' that have a base price less than Osiris but with
  20.          those  BBS',  the  base price only  covers  the  BBS  program
  21.          itself.  Many companys charge extra for add-on programs  that
  22.          we provide, AT NOT ADDITIONAL CHARGE, with the package.

  24.          A lot BBS' do not even provide the add-on programs. You  have
  25.          to  call  all over the country looking for 3rd  party  add-on
  26.          programs and in the process, run up a huge phone bill and you
  27.          still have to pay for the programs when you do find them.

  29.          The cost of the Osiris package is less than $6.00 a  program,
  30.          based on a single line system. You can't find, download,  and
  31.          register a shareware program for that.

  36.          First  time  sysops  can build a system to  carry  out  their
  37.          communications  needs  quickly without  being  burdened  with
  38.          complicated setups and designs.

  43.          Osiris  has  power, speed,  responsiveness,  and  flexibility
  44.          which  have  never  before been seen  in  the  micro-computer
  45.          world.

  47.          What do we mean by speed?  The measure of a systems speed  is
  48.          how  close it approaches the ideal of being limited  only  by
  49.          the data transmission rate.

  51.          Osiris  is  capable of driving the serial port in  excess  of
  52.          38,400  bps  using a 10 Mhz AT. This means if you  timed  the
  53.          transmission of a 192,000 byte file, it should take about  50
  54.          seconds.

  56.          On  a  single user system running on a 6 MHZ AT,  Osiris  was
  57.          clocked  at over 20,000 bps! This included reading  from  the
  58.          harddrive, writing to the LOCAL screen, and sending the  data
  59.          out the serial port.

  61.          We  are  not  going to say there is no  other  CBIS  software
  62.          capable  of achieving this feat, we just have not  found  one
  63.          yet.

  65.          What  do we mean by responsive?  Osiris can accepts  commands
  66.          at ANY time.  On menu displays or command prompts you do  not
  67.          have to wait for the prompt or even the end of the line.

  69.          Your  callers  have  the option  of  using  advanced  command
  70.          stacking  or HOTKEYS. Using command stacking, they can  enter
  71.          commands that may be found 40 sub-systems away.

  75.          As  amazing  as Osiris is to operate when you  call  in,  the
  76.          SYSOP side has to be seen to be believed.

  78.          Osiris  is  configured and maintained using a series  of  GUI
  79.          programs (some programs require a mouse) and a text editor or
  80.          ANSI draw program.

  82.          Using   OSM,  you  can  define from  1  to  32000  Conference
  83.          message boards and from 1 to 32000 file areas.

  85.          You  can  choose  the command keys, types  of  areas,  access
  86.          levels  for  the commands, flags for  the  commands,  default
  87.          log-on   access  levels,  time  limits,  private  system   or
  88.          public.

  92.          Your  file  areas can be in individual  directories,  grouped
  93.          into  one directory and LOGICALLY sub-divided by Osiris.  You
  94.          can have your file list in one directory, the physical  files
  95.          in  another directory, and have the uploads for that area  go
  96.          to still yet another directory, you decide.

  98.          File  Queued  Downloading  allows up to  FORTY  files  to  be
  99.          downloaded  during  a SINGLE session. And the  files  can  be
  100.          split between any number of file areas.

  102.          Advanced external protocol support allows an unlimited number
  103.          of  protocols  to  be  added, without  having  to  resort  to
  104.          batch files!

  106.          Why  settle  for  outdated and slow  protocols  like  Xmodem,
  107.          Ymodem, Kermit, and SEAlink when you can use faster and  more
  108.          popular protocols like Tmodem, Zmodem, Jmodem, and Bimodem.

  141.          Thedraw  is  an ANSI "what you see is what you  get"  drawing
  142.          program. Select the layout, colors, and even the command line
  143.          prompt.

  146.          colorful menu ready to be used by those that support ANSI and
  147.          those that do not.

  151.          Osiris  has  a  bi-polar message system with  up  to  32,000!
  152.          public  message areas offering a WIDE range of  configuration
  153.          options.

  155.          Public   Message   Areas  (Echo or Local)  have   a   DELAYED
  156.          POSTING  option.  You can assign area  moderators  to  review
  157.          messages  posted in these area and only after  the  moderator
  158.          has OK'ed the message will it be available for public view or
  159.          Echomail  Export programs. If a moderator REJECTS a  message,
  160.          the message is sent back to the person that posted it, in the
  161.          body of a REJECTION NOTICE (Moderators may work remotely).

  163.          TRUE  ALIAS(tm) Support. Each caller record has a field  that
  164.          allows callers to select an ALIAS name to use on the  system,
  165.          in areas that allow it. New Conference mail checks as well as
